The Bernette 33 is a mechanical sewing machine with a stylish Swiss design. It has all the basic operations that a beginner would want in a sewing machine, but nothing overly complicated. It is extremely durable and has excellent stitch quality. All the settings, including selecting one of the 15 built-in stitches and buttonholes, are easily adjusted with just the turn of a knob.

Our Opinion

If you’re a beginner and looking for a mid-range beginner sewing machine, this Bernette 33 is a fantastic option. It has an easy to navigate Swiss design body and some added features that every beginner sewer is looking for like a semi-automatic needle threader and built-in stitches and buttonholes. Bernette created this machine to be compact and easy to use and they successfully created a sewing machine that is just that. The only downside we can see with this machine is the lack of built-in stitches. This machine only comes with 15, but when just starting out, you definitely don’t need any more than 15 built-in stitches. It’s just something you may come across in the future wanting more.
