The Bernette 38 was designed to be a top-model electronic sewing machine, but with an affordable price tag. This computerized sewing machine offers a variety of different functions that you would normally not find on affordable sewing machines.
The technology on this sewing machine is top-rated with a built-in memory function and other customizable options.
The Bernette 38 has 394 different stitches, including stretch stitch for elastic fabrics. This means you can work with more difficult, stretchy fabrics like jersey knit, something that would disrupt a traditional sewing machine. It also contains 1-step buttonholes and three alphabets.
What sets this sewing machine apart is the memory function which can store various combinations of patterns and allows you to access them whenever. It has a speed regulator that can easily be adjusted on the LCD screen and features a bright LED light to make seeing your work 10x easier.

This Bernette 38 sewing machine is a great all-around machine. The great thing about companies like Bernette is that you’re able to get the top of the line sewing machines like this one, but without the hefty price tag. This sewing machine is not cheap, but it’s much more affordable than Singer or Brother comparable sewing machines. The only thing we noted is that machines from other companies tend to have more built-in stitches. However, 394 stitches is plenty and the memory function is definitely a nice bonus.
